Picking a date

I have had to call off my Texas trail challenge for the weekend due to all the rain we're getting this week. We're trying to pick a new date and wouldn't mind input. It's probably going to be the beginning of the year in January or possibly march. People keep saying they would come in January but would they really? Opinions are welcome. Management is still hashing this out.
